Never enough time

No school yesterday, snow day.

No school today, snow day.

If there is school tomorrow, it is just a 50 minute valentine party and I have to stay.

Never have school on Friday.

Weekend in Gatlinburg for family wedding.

No school on Monday for holiday.

Sale starts February 26. I HAVE THINGS TO DO!!!!

C25K week 2, day 2

Did not run outside on the ice, but on the treadmill. Ran at 4.8 to 5.0 and walked at 3.4 to 3.6. The first 3 runs were tough but the last 3 weren’t so bad. It’s only 90 seconds, FFS!

I feel like a dork running at 5.0 while the people next to me are running for 40 minutes at 7+. Well, not so much a dork as an overweight and out of shape mom.


Star Wars Weekends 2008

According to the latest All Ears newsletter:

Star Wars Weekends have been officially announced for 2008. The special events, themed around the popular Star Wars films, will be held every weekend in June: June 6- 8; June 13 – 15; June 20 – 22; and June 27 – 29. No celebrity attendees have yet been announced.

C25K week 2, day 1

I did week 2, day 1 yesterday. Made the mistake of running outside since driving to the Y just to use the treadmill seemed dumb. Turns out, running outside was dumb. It was bright and clear but too cold and too windy. Week 2 is six 90 second runs with walking in between and I was able to keep moving through it but going into the wind was tough.


C25K week 1, day 3

On treadmill, walking at 3.6 and running at 5.0.

It was definitely easier than it was just a week ago. Next week steps up to jogging for 90 seconds and walking for two minutes for a total of 20 minutes.

I’m not totally convinced that in nine weeks I’ll go from barely being able to run for one minute to running for 30 minutes, but we’ll see.


C25K week 1, day 2

Today was outside since the weather is nice.

Yesterday I did the beginning step/toning class at the Y.

Tomorrow will be a rest day, and C25K again on Thursday during the boys’ karate class.

Completed week 1, day 1 on treadmill at YMCA

covered about 2 miles, walked at 3.5 and ran at 4.8 to 5.0 MPH

growth spurt?

The next time I post about my boys being monsters, will someone just comment and tell me to feed them massive quantities of food every hour, on the hour?

A small boy woke us at 6:03 AM, c/o stomach pains. Turns out, he wasn’t sick, just hungry. Since 6:03 AM, Thing One has eaten two adult sized bowls of cereal with milk, two 6oz portions of juice, a BIG banana, 1.5 PB&J’s (that’s three BIG 100 calorie slices of bread), 6oz lowfat milk, and half a bag of microwave popcorn. Since the popcorn, he’s told me that he’s hungry at least twice. Thing Two slept until 7, but has had a whole bagel with cream cheese, two 6oz portions of juice, a BIG banana, one PB&J, and the other half of the bag of popcorn.

There has been some whining and hitting, but at a much more normal level than the past several days
