Rumor has it that Disney is raising ticket prices again on August 3. If you are planning a trip and aren’t going to be buying a package, you may want to try to buy tickets now either through disney.com, AAA, or one of the other 3rd party ticket brokers. I don’t know the amount of the increase, so shipping costs may negate any savings.

progress!
Two rooms in my house are completely clean and put together. Unfortunately, they are the “formal” living room and dining room. The kitchen is getting close, though. DH still has to wire up the under cabinet lighting, phone jack, and cable jack. I’ve been working hard to put everything away and clean up. My dining room has been stacked up with the contents of the kitchen cabinets for nearly two months. I can’t wait to have this finished!
picking back up, F210K week 1
Today was my first run since the race a week and a half ago. I took all my gear to London, but after walking 8-12 miles every day, I didn’t really want to run. I did see runners everywhere, from all the parks to right down the middle of a crowded sidewalk on Oxford St.
Podrunner has started a new series, this one is “Freeway to 10K”, designed to take runners from a 5K to a 10K in 10 weeks. They only have the first week posted but it was almost too easy. Five repeats of 4 min run/2 min walk intervals. I did that, thinking I should start slow, but by the last run I kicked it up by 30 sec/mile and ended up going an extra 2 minutes. I could have done more but didn’t. Overall covered 2.75 miles.
I may abandon their Gateway to 8K and switch to this training plan if I like it better. Our race at Disney is 12 weeks from Saturday.
so over this
DH just called to tell me that the enormously large check I wrote to the countertop installer had an error – I wrote the number differently in box vs. text. I’m having a hard time getting worked up over it and can’t figure out exactly what it is he wants me to do at this point.
I’ve been a prisoner in the house with those guys for the last two days. They were here ALL day (until 7:30 on Monday night!) and showed up three hours late yesterday. I finally called after waiting 2 hours and was told, “we’ll be there in 5 minutes”. An hour later they made it here. I wish I could work like that and still get paid tons of money.
Anyway, countertops are in, tile is done, and the rest of the work is on DH to finish. Well, he thinks something is wrong with the cooktop install, so maybe countertop guy will need to come back and re-cut the opening for the cooktop. This will make a huge mess all over again, so I guess I shouldn’t bother to clean up from the last mess yet.
I’m very tired of the mess. I’m very tired of the whole thing. The end is so close, yet so far away.
